Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolVictor Malov is a database systems engineer with a decade of hands-on experience building and debugging high-performance, correctness-sensitive systems, specializing in PostgreSQL internals, distributed PostgreSQL architectures, and query optimization. He combines low-level engine expertise (C/Rust extensions and line-by-line engine debugging) with practical research into optimizer design, including RL and search-informed approaches tailored to real-world DB constraints. His background spans production backend and cloud systems, concurrency, and performance engineering across companies from Samsung to startups, and he has driven stability and correctness work on Shardman and other distributed Postgres projects. Victor is drawn to subtle correctness and partitioning problems where empirical engine behavior meets novel optimizer techniques, and he prototypes solutions in Rust to bridge research ideas and production realities.
