Senior🎓
Top SchoolVictor Payno is a seasoned Staff Platform Engineer with over two decades of hands-on experience managing Linux and Windows server and workstation environments, now shaping streaming and game development infrastructure at PlayStation. He brings deep expertise in release engineering, SRE, and network engineering across large-scale HPC, storage clusters (Ceph, PVFS, SAN), and high-performance networking (InfiniBand, Myricom, 10G). Victor has designed and supported complex multi-socket, multi-GPU compute systems and automated cloud and data center deployments using Puppet, Salt, AWS, and custom tooling. Known for kernel and driver work to enable new hardware and for building diskless and RDMA-optimized clusters, he combines low-level systems knowledge with production release discipline. Based in Aliso Viejo, he pairs rare legacy Linux distro breadth (Gentoo to RHEL) with modern cloud-native practices, making him a pragmatic bridge between hardware, OS internals, and scalable platform delivery.
