Top SchoolVijay Gupta is an engineering-driven technical program management leader with 11 years of experience scaling large, cross-functional payments, risk, identity, compliance, and financial-product organizations. As Uber’s Global Head of TPM, he orchestrates delivery across 700+ engineers, product managers, and data scientists to process tens of billions in transactions while improving trust, conversions, and margins through ML-driven fraud prevention, smart routing, and unified commerce primitives. Previously he led payments platform programs at Google and built marketing and ECM engineering organizations for Macy’s and Disney, blending deep architecture chops with program and people leadership. Vijay’s background in enterprise content management and systems architecture gives him a rare combination of transaction-scale commerce expertise and hands-on platform design experience. He pairs technical rigor (TOGAF, Scrum, ITIL) and analytics training from Wharton with a mechanical engineering and design engineering foundation from NIT Raipur and IIT Delhi. Colleagues describe him as a pragmatic executor who surfaces risk early and turns complex, multi-year initiatives into predictable outcomes.
