Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolVivek Kalyan is an RL engineer and founder with a decade of experience building ML systems that move from research to production. He has led and scaled small AI teams—most recently driving LLM and retrieval products at Handshakes that processed millions of articles and secured strategic investment—and co-founded Cartograph to produce Rust-based static analysis and LLM agents that help engineers understand large codebases. Now at CoreWeave he focuses on improving agents with reinforcement learning, combining systems engineering, evaluation rigor, and product sensibility. His background spans CV/AR, recommendation and entity-linking pipelines, and practical tooling (open-source releases like Sherpa and Atlas MCP), reflecting a hands-on approach to both model and infrastructure challenges. Rare among RL engineers, he pairs front-line product experience as a founder with operational leadership from military and startup roles, enabling fast iteration and clear delivery paths.
