Top SchoolVladislav Akatov is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Data Engineering with a strong track record of designing and shipping large-scale, ML-driven data platforms across banking, retail, and public sector domains. He has 6–9 years of hands-on experience building lakehouse architectures, Data Mesh transformations, and production-grade pipelines on Azure and GCP, often moving systems from monolithic warehouses to real-time Delta Lake solutions. Vladislav combines deep engineering discipline (Scala, PySpark, CI/CD, infrastructure automation) with a product-minded approach, translating business requirements into feature-rich ML products used for personalized recommendations and pricing optimization. He has led and scaled engineering teams, established observability and governance practices, and delivered measurable cost and performance improvements (including a 25% storage reduction at ASOS). Based in Dubai, he brings a finance-informed perspective from earlier roles in banking and brokerage that helps bridge analytics and business value. An understated strength is his history of creating reusable engineering libraries and ETL frameworks that accelerated delivery across multiple teams.
