Senior🎓
Top SchoolWai Thin is an Engineering Manager based in Singapore with 11 years of experience building and operating large-scale data platforms and analytics systems. He currently leads Data Pipeline & Finance Ops at Traveloka, managing cross-border teams and driving a merge of data lake and warehouse into a lakehouse while designing event-driven, time-travel-enabled pipelines. A hands-on technologist fluent in Java, Scala, Python and Node.js, he has deep experience with CDC frameworks, Spark ETL, Airflow on Kubernetes, and self-service data platforms. He combines leadership and implementation: from building authentication and API plugins for Airflow to delivering reconciliation tools used by business users. Known for a dry sense of humor ("writing bugs by hand"), he pairs pragmatic engineering with attention to data correctness and operational resilience. He holds degrees from NTU and NUS and has a track record of turning complex data requirements into practical, auditable solutions.
