Walt Moorhouse
Portland, Oregon, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorWalt Moorhouse is a pragmatic technology leader and CTO with 13 years of experience modernizing legacy systems, re-architecting platforms, and guiding teams through growth and transition. He founded and runs Annulet Consulting to provide enterprise-class IT and automation services, and has held CTO and senior engineering roles leading cloud, AI/IoT, and full-stack initiatives across retail, analytics, and enterprise clients. Walt excels at integrating disparate systems, spotting security weaknesses early, and rapidly ramping on new domains—skills honed by hands-on end-to-end ownership from requirements through deployment. He frequently serves as interim CTO or engineering architect, bringing both tactical coding ability and strategic direction to organizations lacking bandwidth. Based in Portland, he brings a lifelong curiosity for systems (he built a simple database at age seven) and prefers roles where he’s part of the company’s growth momentum rather than an ancillary contributor.
