Top SchoolWalter Seymore is a Principal Engineer based in London with over two decades of technology experience and a 12-year focus on delivering cloud-native platforms for the finance sector. He designs and builds highly automated, cost-efficient API and event-driven systems (notably an AWS Terraform-driven platform with scale-to-zero, GitOps deployments and multi-language code generation) that prioritize security, observability and rapid delivery. At HSBC he led global API, integration and microservices strategy, creating modelling tools, OAuth2-based auth infrastructure and accelerators adopted bank-wide, and he later rebuilt Open Banking platforms to cut cost and speed time-to-market. Known for turning impossible deadlines into delivered solutions, he also led a global Customer Due Diligence re-implementation under regulatory pressure. Blending hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, he thrives on applying model-driven approaches to simplify complex, highly regulated environments.
