Senior🎓
Top SchoolWannes Gennar is a Senior Backend Developer with 11 years of experience building web, distributed and realtime systems, currently working at Twipe and co-running Elixus consultancy. He regularly codes across PHP, C#, SQL Server, Vue and is exploring Elixir/OTP, Rust and GraphQL, blending pragmatic legacy migrations with modern functional approaches. As a founder and primary maintainer on hobby projects like helldivers-2 and dungeon-rs, he pairs production-grade consulting with active open-source tinkering. He also teaches at Erasmushogeschool Brussel, translating hands-on engineering lessons into classroom learning. Based in Belgium, he thrives on side projects and sharing practical insights—often learning by shipping small, occasionally “silly”, experiments that influence his professional work.
