Top SchoolWeihang Fan is a Senior Software Engineer with 12 years of experience building compilers and distributed systems, currently working on FairPlay DRM and compiler tooling at Apple. A CMU SCS alum, he previously optimized mid-level IR and ML model compilation at SambaNova and contributed to distributed query execution and type systems at SingleStore. He blends systems-level rigor (CUDA/OpenMP/MPI teaching and cluster scheduler research) with practical compiler and performance analysis expertise, and spends spare time contributing to open source and competing in algorithmic programming contests. Based in Cupertino, he brings a rare combination of production compiler work, ML compilation experience, and a strong academic foundation in parallel systems.
