Top SchoolWeijie Ou is a Senior Software Engineer with a decade of experience building large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems and experimentation platforms for consumer and cloud services. He has driven foundational infrastructure at Discord—founding the Experimentation Platform, building notifications and SMS systems that handled billions of daily events and delivered multi-million-dollar cost savings—and previously built Azure Service Bus and Microsoft-scale data pipelines processing 20TB+ daily. Equally comfortable in backend systems, data engineering, and full-stack web development, he routinely spans design, implementation, observability and on-call reliability. A strong mentor and cross-team collaborator, he’s led junior engineers and worked closely with stakeholders to turn metrics and experiments into product growth. Fluent in English, Japanese and native Chinese, he brings a rare blend of engineering depth and prior tax consulting experience, useful for compliance-sensitive integrations. Now at Coinbase working on DevX CI systems, he continues to focus on scalable developer-facing infrastructure that accelerates iteration.
