Summary
👤
SeniorWendel Silva is a seasoned software development engineer and data-focused technology leader with 15 years of experience building cloud-native, data-driven systems across research and industry. Currently at Amazon, he previously shaped data architecture and product strategy as Chief Architect Officer and acting CTO at Datacubed Health, designing AWS data lakes, governance, and repeatable domain-based pipelines that enable analytics and ML. His background blends hands-on data science—time-series, activity recognition, graph analysis—and high-performance computing from research roles at NYU, Argonne, and Kitware, giving him a rare mix of academic rigor and production delivery. He’s skilled at translating regulatory, security and privacy constraints into scalable engineering and SDLC practices while mentoring cross-functional teams. Based in New York, Wendel often bridges long-running research projects and commercial products, turning complex data workflows into consumable products for analysts and scientists.
