Top SchoolWendy Fu is a software engineer based in New York with 11 years of experience building data-driven systems and consumer products, currently contributing at Meta. She combines formal training from the University of Waterloo with hands-on roles across Mozilla, Capital One, Snap, and Hubdoc, working on data pipelines, fraud detection, and automation tools. Equally comfortable in code and creativity, Wendy has freelanced as an artist/designer since 2010 and is self-taught in the full 3D pipeline and game development concepts. Her open-source work at Mozilla includes a Python 3 utility for Apache Zeppelin and public hardware reporting, reflecting a knack for reproducible analysis and product-facing analytics. Passionate about AI, machine learning, and computational graphics, she brings both analytical rigor and an artist’s eye to engineering problems. Outside of engineering she’s a traveling food critic, gamer, illustrator, and violinist—an eclectic mix that informs her interdisciplinary approach.
