Top SchoolWenliang Zhang is a seasoned database and storage systems leader with 11+ years in cloud and enterprise software, currently directing the Cloud Database Innovation Lab at Huawei Cloud and serving as Chief Cloud Database Expert. He has driven database architecture across top Chinese tech firms—leading MySQL/CynosDB work at Tencent, AliSQL and OceanBase efforts at Alibaba, and storage systems at Dell EMC—bringing deep expertise in cloud-native SQL/NoSQL, Lakehouse, HTAP, graph databases, and hardware-accelerated storage like Intel DCPMM. His career blends early systems-level experience on IBM mainframes and embedded/parallel database products with modern cloud-native design, giving him a rare end-to-end view from firmware and storage to distributed database services.
