Top SchoolWilfred Springer is a seasoned startup technologist and co-creator with 17 years of experience turning emerging technology into production products, from WebAssembly and LLM integrations to optimization engines. He repeatedly spots early opportunities—pioneering WebAssembly in business workflows and architecting meal-optimization models—and ships systems that “couldn’t exist before.” Comfortable deep in the stack with Node.js, TypeScript, Scala and NoSQL, he blends pragmatic engineering with light process and collective ownership in small distributed teams. He’s led architecture redesigns and market launches at companies including bol.com, TomTom and Flo Energy, and acted as surrogate product owner when strategy and delivery needed to converge. Recently obsessed with bridging LLMs to optimization engines via Model Context Protocols, he focuses on making AI do things rather than just talk. A visual thinker and bass player based in the Netherlands, he combines mathematical modeling chops with a maker’s impatience for building the tools that aren’t yet available.
