Top SchoolWill Schwier is a pragmatic software engineer with 10 years' experience building backend systems and end-to-end web products for startups and freelance clients. He transitioned from a law degree and farm work into coding via self-study and an intensive Makers Academy bootcamp, then honed practical skills at agri‑tech startup Hummingbird and at Eigen, picking up Django and JavaScript under pressure. Comfortable across PHP, Python, Django, PostgreSQL and devops, he also handles QA, support, stakeholder management and product delivery for small teams. Recent freelance work has seen him deliver e-commerce MVPs and take ownership of legacy Shopify code and process setup, demonstrating strong organisation and communication. Curious by nature, he experiments with Arduino, machine learning courses and game design in his spare time, reflecting a hands-on, multidisciplinary approach to solving problems.
