Top SchoolWill Simons is a San Francisco–based archivist and CTO with 11 years of software engineering experience building scalable, front-end–focused web platforms and developer-friendly tooling. He blends hands-on React/Next.js expertise with systems thinking—migrating large marketing sites, architecting serverless A/B tests, and leading frontend monorepos to improve team velocity. As a freelance engineer he has delivered real-time control interfaces, no-code migrations, and media-processing tools, and now runs skateboard.fyi, a research platform documenting the annotated history of skateboarding. Skilled in JavaScript/TypeScript, modern CSS, cloud/serverless architectures, and developer tooling, he also teaches web fundamentals to non-technical creators. Colleagues rely on him to translate design and editorial needs into performant, accessible experiences while simplifying operational workflows. Quietly, he pairs archival curiosity with engineering pragmatism—turning niche cultural projects into robust digital products.
