Senior🎓
Top SchoolWill Smith is a seasoned Software Engineer with 13 years' experience building cloud-native financial compliance systems, primarily in C# and AWS. Based in the UK and holding an MSc in Software Engineering from Imperial College London, he has led integrations of large third-party data sources and pushed adoption of native AWS services like Glue, Athena and Serverless to improve performance and observability. He architects migrations from monolithic .NET batch systems to distributed .NET Core services, balancing cost, scalability and operational monitoring. Comfortable across backend, frontend (React/TypeScript) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), he also has a strong security mindset evidenced early in his career through hands-on audits and XSS remediations. Notably, he designed a static analysis approach to turn boolean compliance rules into actionable trading ranges, transforming compliance logic into quantifiable guardrails.
