Senior🎓
Top SchoolWill Sutherland is a Cambridge-educated computer scientist with 12 years of experience and an MPhil (Distinction) in Advanced Computer Science focused on security, networking and HCI, with a thesis on cybercrime. He combines strong academic pedigree—first-class honours from Sheffield and top-of-year rankings—with hands-on production experience building trader-facing and backend systems at Barclays and HP using technologies like ASP.NET, Angular.js and Node.js. Will has repeatedly shipped demos and production tooling under tight deadlines, including a daily-used equity deposits app and server-monitoring and API/CMS tooling for HP’s big data products. He’s comfortable across the stack and in agile teams, and has been recognized internally at HP for impactful contributions. Not obvious from the CV: alongside research into cybercrime, he has practical exposure to real-time monitoring and performance-scaling challenges, bridging academic security insight with production engineering.
