Top SchoolWill U is a Senior Software Engineer with 12 years of experience building and modernizing full-stack systems using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Postgres, Hotwire, and modern front-end tools. He designs clean architectures and reliable background-job pipelines that power high-volume transaction flows and enterprise platforms for inventory, ERM, logistics, and reporting. At Shutterstock he led migrations from a Ruby monolith to Node microservices and helped operate payment and identity services processing millions daily and tens of thousands of requests per minute. He built end-to-end ERP and customer self-service platforms that measurably reduced equipment loss and manual billing pain in a multi-location rental business. Equally comfortable shipping code and mentoring teams, he combines hands-on implementation with technical leadership for small, high-output groups. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he seeks senior/staff or hybrid leadership roles where he can keep coding while steering technical direction.
