Top SchoolWilla Qu is a software engineer based in San Francisco with a decade of experience building full-stack features used by millions in enterprise products. She has shipped high-impact work at Figma and Quip—driving an enterprise team-management feature adopted rapidly by customers and leading Dev Mode monetization efforts that materially increased upgrades. Her background in microbiology and hands-on pathogen research informs a pragmatic, data-driven approach to engineering and product security, and she pairs that with practical front-end and back-end chops from Python to JavaScript. Willa mentors junior engineers, leads small technical teams, and has repeatedly owned end-to-end design, implementation, and customer testing. Outside engineering she blends scientific rigor with curiosity—she’s a microbiologist, programmer, and gamer who leverages interdisciplinary thinking to solve complex UX and security problems.
