Senior🎓
Top SchoolWilliam Edmisten is a Lead Software Engineer with a decade of engineering experience, currently driving technical delivery at Capital One after leading teams at OneStudyTeam and CCRi. He blends practical cloud-native expertise (AWS, Kubernetes) with strong backend skills in Python and Scala, and a sustained interest in computer vision and data science dating back to internships focused on ML and vision. William emphasizes engineering discipline—style guides, linting, CI/CD, version control, and documentation—to keep teams shipping reliable, maintainable systems. He has hands-on full-stack background and a track record of moving research-oriented vision work into production-ready services. Based in Charlottesville and a Virginia Tech CS graduate, he also maintains a technical blog that surfaces his learnings and experiments. An uncommon thread through his career is combining research-adjacent vision projects with pragmatic cloud operations to shorten the path from prototype to production.
