Top SchoolWilliam Lopes is a Senior Software Engineer from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, with 8+ years of experience building backend systems and integrations that automate operations and scale e-commerce platforms. He has driven end-to-end projects at BairesDev and Code2B, delivering full automation of online orders and integrations that reclaimed 40+ hours/week of manual work. His background spans academia and industry, including PhD research on integer programming and column generation methods, which informs a data-driven approach to solving routing and optimization challenges. William has led multidisciplinary teams across chemical, agricultural, and food sectors, shipping systems that handle high traffic and support large enterprises. He pairs hands-on development (CI/CD, PHP, MySQL/Postgres, Linux) with systems thinking from both teaching and research roles, making him comfortable bridging legacy systems and modern architectures. Colleagues would note his uncommon mix of operational automation impact and formal optimization research experience.
