Senior🎓
Top SchoolWilliam Lyerly is a seasoned software engineer and entrepreneur with 11+ years building Mac and iOS apps and a decade of prior experience in high-performance computing helping scientists tackle large-scale data problems. As owner of SonicBunny Software and former CTO/co-founder of Oak City Labs, he blends hands-on Swift and Objective-C development with product-minded leadership and custom solutions for clients. His background in physics and systems administration gives him a rare blend of scientific rigor and practical infrastructure skills, from visualization and Python tooling to maintaining compute clusters. William prefers solving real-world problems on Apple platforms but retains deep experience across Unix-like systems and automation. He’s equally comfortable shipping consumer-facing mobile apps and implementing backend tooling that supports data-heavy workflows. Based in Apex, NC, he approaches new technologies pragmatically—ready to swap tools but consistent in solving hard problems.
