London, England, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorWilliam Owen is a London-based design engineering leader with over 25 years of experience uniting UI/UX and frontend engineering to deliver enterprise-grade web products. As a director and principal consultant he blends hands-on expertise in React, Next.js, CSS and Figma with solution architecture, mentoring and stakeholder facilitation, having led teams and greenfield projects across retail, betting, manufacturing and government. He’s known for treating design and development as a single medium—creating reusable component libraries, rapid prototypes and AI-enhanced interfaces that accelerate product decisions. Comfortable operating with onshore and offshore teams, he brings practical business analysis and Agile rigor to complex data-driven applications. An uncommon strength: he frequently moves between senior design and tech-lead roles within projects, enabling both visual craft and robust engineering outcomes.
