Top SchoolWilliam Scheidegger is a seasoned software engineer and integrator with over 20 years of technical experience and a dozen years in software roles, currently building enterprise content delivery for USAA in San Antonio. A former Active Duty Air Force communications specialist, he blends disciplined systems engineering and CMMI-aligned processes with hands-on full life-cycle development—from requirements and design to validation, integration, and maintenance. He has led and modernized mission-critical tracking and messaging systems for defense contractors, migrated legacy toolchains to Git/Maven, and contributed to open-source reverse-proxy work at Rackspace where he mentored junior engineers and helped evolve Repose’s build, test, and deployment pipeline. Comfortable across Java, Scala, Docker, JVM tooling and CI/CD ecosystems, he has a track record of turning complex, constrained requirements into reliable, auditable solutions. Notably, his background in satellite communications and real-time systems gives him practical insight into building robust distributed systems that operate under harsh operational conditions.
