Senior🎓
Top SchoolWilliam Sena is a Staff Software Engineer based in São Paulo with two decades of hands-on experience across backend, frontend and DevOps, currently shaping scalable systems at VTEX. He combines deep polyglot backend skills (Go, Elixir, Node.js, Python, Ruby, C#, Java) with platform-minded DevOps expertise (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD) and strong observability practices (OpenTelemetry, tracing). His career spans fintech, e-commerce and enterprise firms—bringing pragmatic architecture, messaging and data-store design (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) to bear on complex problems. A longtime tinkerer who built his first pages on Geocities and explored Linux distros in his teens, he also writes technical guides on his blog willsena.dev, signaling a commitment to teaching alongside delivery. Notably, he blends legacy-to-cloud migration experience with a culture-of-platform mindset that helps teams move from ad hoc deploys to containerized, observable production systems.
