Top SchoolWillian Carminato is a seasoned technology executive with 14 years of experience building and scaling engineering organizations across Europe and LATAM, currently serving as CTO at Payrails in Berlin. He has led large teams through platform migrations and performance transformations—most notably driving Delivery Hero’s move from PHP to Go, introducing event-driven architecture, and improving cost-per-order by ~40%. As VP of Engineering at Miro and senior leader roles at Delivery Hero and foodora, he blends hands-on backend architecture (Golang, Kubernetes, AWS) with strong engineering management practices that boosted deployment frequency 5x and halved employee churn while doubling eNPS. Willian is pragmatic about developer productivity and quality, having implemented CI/CD, load testing, and technical coaching programs that reduced bugs per engineer by 30%. He’s curious by nature and continuously learning, applying both tactical platform decisions and long-term tech strategy to enable global payment and financial-service experiences.
