Top SchoolWillie Wu is a Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer with 13+ years of semiconductor experience designing and scaling factory automation, metrology, and MES integrations across eight global sites. He combines hardware, software, and data pipelines to drive measurable gains—raising availability from 90% to 94.5% and boosting wafer run-rate while eliminating recurring equipment-failure incidents. A co-architect of a fungible metrology platform and builder of automation that cut multi-day setups to one hour, he excels at turning complex, production-scale workflows into reliable, deployable systems. Comfortable coding in Python and C# and integrating SECS-GEM and TwinCAT3 equipment, he’s now expanding into AI agents and intelligent automation to modernize semiconductor operations. Willie’s background—a PhD in Materials Science and a history of hands-on process and R&D engineering—gives him a rare blend of research rigor and manufacturing pragmatism.
