Top SchoolWilson Silva is a senior software engineer and pragmatic architect with 13 years of experience building and leading backend-first teams, currently driving engineering at Runware after steering technical strategy as Tech Lead & Staff Backend Engineer at Lavanda. He excels at turning ideas into production-grade systems—especially in Ruby on Rails—while championing standards, incident response, and developer workflows that reduce operational cost. Wilson thrives in collaborative, entrepreneurial environments where he’s accountable for outcomes and unafraid of the hard conversations that keep teams healthy. He experiments broadly in his spare time with languages like Elixir, Gleam, Solidity, Go and Flutter, applying lessons from those explorations to design clean, maintainable systems. Dual-citizen of Portugal and the UK, he’s open to relocation and brings a background advising and scaling engineering organisations for clients including FDJ, Superdrug, and Mindful Chef.
