Witold Duranek
Summary
🤩
RockstarWitold Duranek is a Senior Site Reliability and DevOps engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience evolving infrastructure from bare-metal to cloud-native platforms. He currently architects and operates cloud SRE at Netdata while running his own IT business, bringing pragmatic automation and open-source tooling to production environments. His background spans Linux virtualization, Kubernetes, GCP migrations, CI/CD, observability and infrastructure as code, with practical coding in Golang and Bash to build internal tooling. At eSky he led SLI/SLO-focused monitoring and migration efforts, demonstrating a blend of operational rigor and developer collaboration. He favors pragmatic, fully automated solutions and carries institutional memory from the pre-cloud era that helps anticipate failure modes newer teams often miss. Based in Pszczyna, Poland, he’s also an avid road cyclist — a hobby that mirrors his methodical, endurance-focused approach to tough operational problems.
