Top SchoolWolfgang Pfnür is a Lead Cloud Engineer with 14 years of hands-on experience building scalable backend and cloud platforms, currently leading an 8-person cloud team focused on environmental IoT at Dryad Networks. He combines deep backend expertise in Python and PHP with strong operational skills—managing Ceph, Salt, Hetzner fleets and CI-driven deployments—to deliver resilient, automated systems. Wolfgang has a track record of designing high-throughput recommender and tracking services (multi-armed bandits, Kafka/SQS, Redis) and has repeatedly built tooling to migrate, test and precompute recommendations at scale. Pragmatic and inventive, he favors non–cookie-cutter solutions and fast learning cycles, roughly picking up a new language per year on the job. He’s an expert Git practitioner and a frequent internal teacher who volunteers practical workshops to raise team capability. Based in Berlin, he’s open to relocation for the right role and brings interests outside tech—strategy games and cooking—that inform his creative problem-solving.
