Top SchoolWonhee Jung is a founder and product engineer with 20+ years building scalable, resilient backend systems across startups and global platforms. At Blizzard he led cloud-native migrations, modernized authentication to OAuth2, and engineered event-driven gateway services that reduced latency and enabled zero-downtime multi-datacenter deployments. He combines hands-on implementation (Spring, Kubernetes, Redis, WebFlux) with developer enablement—refactoring CI/CD, Helm charts, and deployment pipelines to improve velocity. As an entrepreneur he’s launched consumer and local discovery products while mentoring students in production-quality fullstack engineering, showing a rare blend of operational rigor and product empathy. With an MS from UIUC and ongoing OMSCS studies, his style emphasizes clarity, empathy, and curiosity, and he often surfaces subtle reliability wins (like replacing JDBC calls with sharded WebSocket routing) that quietly improve global scale.
