Top SchoolWoody Peterson is a seasoned engineering leader and co-founder with 17 years of experience building and directing technical teams for startups and greenfield projects. As CTO of InPlay he’s resurrected and rebranded a prior marketplace effort to focus on school partnerships and disadvantaged users, blending product empathy with pragmatic engineering. He has a track record of rapidly re-scoping stalled projects (shipping an iOS beta within months while learning Objective-C) and architecting automated testing and deployment pipelines to sustain velocity. His background spans full-stack Rails marketplaces, large-scale CDN coordination, and thoughtful front-end work—such as improving keyboard-driven UX for a Safari Vimium port. Trained in psychology, he pairs user-centric research with domain-driven design to translate stakeholder needs into robust technical solutions. He’s equally comfortable mentoring teams, hiring engineers, and rolling up his sleeves to refactor legacy systems into maintainable, testable platforms.
