Summary
🤩
RockstarXavier Roche is a Senior Software Engineer with 16 years of deep systems and low-level engineering experience, currently shaping Algolia’s distributed search engine from Paris. He specializes in C and modern C++ (C++20) across Linux, POSIX, and Windows environments, with a strong focus on performance, stability, and kernel-level perf audits. A long-time open-source maintainer and project leader (notably HTTrack) and Debian developer, he brings rare expertise in distributed storage, networking protocols, and build-system hardening from past roles at Scality and Exalead. Comfortable on-call and in production incident work, he pairs meticulous debugging and crash-audit skills with architectural design. Driven by autonomy and mastery, Xavier favors technically demanding projects where subtle optimizations and rigorous correctness matter.
