Top SchoolXiangyang Guan is a multidisciplinary scholar and educator based in Minneapolis with over a decade of professional experience spanning academia, curriculum design, and journalism. Trained in linguistics and education with advanced study in software systems, he has held faculty and leadership roles at Huazhong University of Science & Technology and serves as an invited scholar at the University of Minnesota. He blends humanities-driven theory—founding the "sunny-heart" philosophy and methodology—with practical work in language teaching, program development, and online editorial writing under pen names Sunny Guan/Sunny Kwan. Comfortable at the intersection of scholarship and public communication, he has a track record of translating interdisciplinary ideas into curricula, strategic departmental direction, and accessible journalism. An uncommon combination of literary scholarship, applied pedagogy, and technical study informs his approach to education and research.
