Summary
👤
SeniorXiaodong Wang is a Senior Software Engineer based in Redwood City with over a decade of experience designing and implementing large-scale desktop and distributed web systems using Scala, Java, C++, C#, and Python. He has a strong foundation in OOP, TDD, design patterns, and agile practices, and has shipped backend services and admin platforms for companies ranging from startups to enterprises like Box, Databricks, and Oracle. Xiaodong brings hands-on leadership—mentoring engineers, refining dev processes, and driving architecture for scalable, SOA-style systems—rooted in earlier experience leading embedded and domain-specific applications in the oilfield and imaging industries. Self-driven and curious, he taught himself Scala, Android development, and foundational machine learning to broaden his toolkit beyond traditional backend engineering. Comfortable translating between technical teams and business stakeholders, he repeatedly delivers under tight deadlines while improving team productivity.
