Top SchoolXiaohong Deng is a software engineer with 10 years of experience now working on Linux infrastructure and distributed systems at Microsoft in Redmond. She blends a solid academic foundation—MS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a BE in Materials Engineering—with hands-on machine learning and systems work, including prototyping ML models for physiological data and building crowdsourced web games. Her background in a Self-Driving Car Nanodegree highlights an appetite for complex, safety-critical systems and algorithmic problem solving. At Microsoft she focuses on production-grade OS-level infrastructure, bringing both research-driven rigor and product-minded pragmatism to large-scale engineering challenges. Colleagues describe her as curious and cross-disciplinary, equally comfortable prototyping ML solutions and hardening low-level system components.
