Top SchoolYakir Gagnon is a founder and research software engineer with 12 years of experience bringing academic-grade data science into product-ready systems across academia and industry. He has repeatedly boosted research output and operational quality—digitizing and automating lab pipelines at Lund University and building end-to-end platforms at his company DataSturgeon for international clients. At Beacon Biosignals he diagnosed streaming bottlenecks and added profiling tools that improved real-time data workflows, and his long-term commitment to Julia (since 2014) informs efficient, reproducible data pipelines. Trained to a Ph.D. level and experienced in interdisciplinary teams from marine vision research to EEG, he blends deep scientific insight with pragmatic engineering under tight resources.
