Top SchoolYara Polana is an Iceland-based senior software engineering manager and founder with 15+ years blending design, product and engineering to ship mobile, web and backend APIs from concept to deployment. She’s led design teams and held CTO roles across startups like Keeps.is and Memento Payments, and now runs Oktaves while managing engineering at Igloo - Rent. Comfortable toggling between hands-on coding (a self-described coder since age four) and strategic leadership, she excels at turning user-centric design into production-ready systems. Her background spans creative ventures—music production and media startups—to data work in international health programs, giving her a rare cross-disciplinary perspective on product, growth and technical execution.
