Top SchoolYi Zhao is a senior software engineer with 9 years of experience building distributed microservice systems and data-intensive applications, currently shaping Tableau's VizQL Data Service at Salesforce. He combines deep backend expertise (Spring, Gin, Django) and cloud-native tooling (Kubernetes, AWS, Docker) with a strong data stack (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka/RocketMQ) to deliver high-availability BI and e-commerce platforms. His work spans hybrid data modeling, semantic layers, and headless BI integrations—connecting predictive models and multi-fact analytics into production services. A top-ranked CS graduate (SUSTech valedictorian) with a perfect MS GPA from Rice and competitive programming honors (ICPC East Asia bronze), he brings both rigorous academic chops and practical SaaS delivery experience. Notably, he has repeatedly bridged front-end visualization and backend semantics, making complex data engines accessible via public APIs.
