Top SchoolYilin Lyu is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a decade of experience building production ML systems across e-commerce and consumer tech, currently working on pricing, item similarity, forecasting, ranking and LLM-driven user profiles at ByteDance. Previously at Wayfair she led pricing optimization and marketplace strategies—blending causal thinking with messy real-world data to influence competitive pricing and supplier behavior. Her background includes medical imaging and speech pathology research at top institutions, where she translated academic models into robust, high-accuracy solutions. Comfortable across research and production, she pairs statistical rigor from a Columbia MA in Statistics with practical engineering instincts developed at Microsoft Research and industry roles. Notably, she has hands-on experience creating large curated datasets and adapting generative and denoising techniques for applied medical and commerce problems.
