Summary
👤
SeniorYongjin Shin is a data scientist with nine years of cross-industry experience applying machine learning to O2O, education, semiconductor, and agriculture domains, currently building vision and forecasting systems for smart farms at ioCrops in Seoul. He blends academic rigor from KAIST (Industrial Engineering, MS) with hands-on product work—developing crop detection algorithms, power-usage forecasts for greenhouses, and debugging production XGBoost models for fraud detection. Comfortable leading small teams and coordinating national-level collaborations, he helped his team reach the Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge finals. Beyond models, he brings strong communication and UX-informed research skills from prior roles in design and branding, and a practical mindset hinted at by his GitHub motto “Maximum Effort.”
