👤
SeniorYoungwook Yang is a Principal Engineer and veteran game developer with 15 years of experience building high-profile multiplayer and live-service titles, including Hearthstone, MARVEL SNAP, and work across Netflix Game Studio and Second Dinner. He blends deep C++ gameplay, networking and tools expertise from console and PC eras with modern live-ops and studio leadership, repeatedly moving from hands-on prototyping to shipping scalable production systems. His background spans major studios (Blizzard, EA, Relic) and includes building matchmaking, network, and UI systems as well as leading gameplay engineering teams. Based in Irvine and recently augmented by graduate study in AI, he brings a rare mix of gameplay craftsmanship and AI-informed thinking to designing engaging player experiences. An understated thread through his career is a knack for implementing practical infrastructure—matchmaking, live support, and tooling—that keeps creative games stable at scale.
