Top SchoolYukun Cao is a Senior Software Engineer with seven years of experience building cloud-native infrastructure and distributed systems, currently architecting real-time 5G sensing data planes at Ericsson. He specializes in control/data-plane separation, stream processing, and multi-tenant delivery, and designed a runtime-reconfigurable SCDI interface enabling live job reconfiguration without restarts. Previously he productized an Envoy/Istio service mesh for 5G network functions—authoring a priority-aware overload shedding fix merged into upstream Envoy and leading long-running production ownership and release automation. He brings a strong security focus, having led IAM hardening with Vault/KMS to meet major carrier standards, and pairs research-grade signal and ML experience from his RWTH MSc thesis with hands-on front-end and systems engineering. Based in Aachen, he’s an active open-source contributor who thrives at the intersection of networking, security, and infrastructure architecture.
