Senior🎓
Top SchoolYuping Lu is a Senior Data Scientist with 11 years of experience blending machine learning, graph algorithms, and high-performance computing to deliver production-ready solutions. With a PhD in Computer Science, she has moved research into practice—implementing GNNs, distributed subgraph samplers, and end-to-end ML pipelines at Katana Graph and now applying those skills at Walmart Global Tech. Her toolset spans C++, Python and PyTorch, and she has a track record of optimizing code and workflows for HPC and large-scale systems, including accelerating lattice optimization with deep learning. Comfortable across web apps, UI prototypes and cluster operations, she bridges model development and infrastructure while filing concrete bug reports to harden libraries. Based in Rogers, Arkansas, she pairs disciplined engineering with an inquisitive, observant mindset—what her GitHub bio calls being an “observer and wanderer”—and a playful streak as a self-described professional procrastinator.
