Summary
Yuri Anufriev is a Technical Artist with a decade of experience across 3DCG, real-time engines, VR/AR and procedural content pipelines. He began as a 3D modeler and props artist and now focuses on technical art—building Houdini-driven procedural tools, custom shaders and optimized assets for VR and mobile. At RIA Novosti he led the VR Development Center, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, vendor pipelines and production planning while bridging art and engineering. His work spans environment and hero asset creation, worldbuilding, mocap cleanup and close collaboration with developers to solve performance and integration challenges. Now based in Dubai and currently at Firevolt, he brings both creative craft and systems thinking to ship visually rich, performant experiences. Outside production he’s a devoted proceduralist who treats shaders and node graphs as expressive tools rather than just utilities.
