Top SchoolYury Chaikou is a Staff Software Engineer with over a decade of experience building and debugging large-scale, highly compliant cloud and database systems, currently focused on performance and reliability of ServiceNow's core MariaDB platform. He brings deep expertise in C++, C#, .NET, Java, Python and low-level debugging (WinDBG) from long tenures at Microsoft where he designed and operated Azure-wide failure analysis and automated debugging services that saved thousands of man-years and improved VM availability. Yury specializes in investigating elusive crashes, hangs, data corruption and replica synchronization issues across Linux and macOS environments, combining systems thinking with hands-on root-cause analysis. Trained as a physicist (Master’s with excellence), he pairs rigorous analytical instincts with pragmatic engineering to turn hard-to-reproduce failures into actionable fixes. He’s comfortable navigating strict security and compliance constraints to deliver scalable, auditable diagnostics that enable teams to triage and fix production defects they otherwise couldn’t access.
