Summary
Yusuf Alp is a Senior Software Engineer with six years of hands-on experience building full-stack web applications and mission-critical systems, now contributing at The Walt Disney Company. He blends a strong JavaScript and TypeScript skillset (React, Node, Express, Vite) with backend experience in Java, .NET, and scalable SQL, delivering performance and reliability gains that have saved clients over $1M and reduced key query times by 50%. A former educator who taught statistics and computer science, he brings a rare combination of pedagogy and engineering—mentoring cohorts of 20+ learners annually and designing systems that improve completion rates and reduce defects. Yusuf has a track record of modernizing legacy platforms, shipping reusable UI components that lower maintenance and bug rates, and building high-throughput services (e.g., chatbots handling tens of thousands of requests daily). He holds advanced computer science credentials and approaches problems with a puzzle-lover’s curiosity, favoring measurable impact and test-driven resilience.
