This was developed in conjunction with an SRC Funded PSU vendor research and development project, developed by myself and a PSU professor, Dr. Hunt. This project was to create a robotic controller that could be used in many versatile situations where a robotic controller would be needed. This controller will be able to be parameterized to utilize many different types of A.I. programs, but will be initially developed to load a biological neuron model and perform balance and other robotic research work. This device will have 100 – 200+ GPIO ports, connections for computer cameras for computer vision, and serial ports for other uses. The processing will be researched to find the best SoC device combination of CPU/GPU/FPGA/etc. which will be running parallel program algorithms to run at a real-time speed. More will be added as the scope is grown and changed throughout the project.
